West Kington Farms

West Kington Farms (WKF) is a substantial mixed farming business, growing a wide variety of arable crops and supporting a pedigree herd of pedigree Welsh Black cattle. The farm works closely with the Stud, Stallion Centre and Competition Yard, providing hay, haylage and bedding straw, as well as grazing for the large number of horses either residing or visiting throughout the year.

WKF not only farms its own land, but also works with a number of share farming partners in differing types of agreement. The total area farmed is circa 2,500 acres, of which 1,750 acres is cropped. The farm owns and operates all its own tillage and harvesting machinery, including a 9 metre Claas Lexion 580+TT combine harvester, a 24 metre self-propelled SAM sprayer and four tractors from 170hp to 340hp. The farm has a modern grain drying and cleaning plant and in excess of 5,000 tonnes of grain storage.

The farming team is led by Darren Luton, Farm Manager, assisted by two experienced tractor drivers, with additional help being brought in for harvest each year.
