Horses and riders compete for the Stud under the guidance of Jane Holderness-Roddam (Olympic Eventing Team Gold Medallist and winner of Badminton and Burghley), participating from BE 80 to Advanced horse trials, including the top three-day events.
Students from home and abroad come for varying lengths to learn all aspects of horse management and train for different disciplines, particularly eventing.
The Stud has excellent facilities, including horse-walker, outdoor arena, cross-country fences, show jumps and good hacking, and is close to several outside schooling facilities and gallops. The aim is to give horses and riders the confidence to achieve their goals.
There is usually a selection of horses for sale, mostly home-bred – see Horses For Sale. Horses are brought on in a professional but relaxed atmosphere, allowing them to mature to their full potential.
