Following on from a successful first season at stud in 2021, we are delighted to offer Hearnesbrook New Moon again for the 2022 breeding season. Moon was bred by the late Phyll Buxton and was produced under saddle until January 2021 by Ella Dalton.
New Moon has very correct conformation, is a lovely mover, has great jumping technique and a fantastic temperament.
This versatile pony has won numerous prizes in a variety of disciplines including showing, showjumping, eventing and international performance classes. He has competed up to BE100 eventing, showjumped at Pony Foxhunter (1.10m), qualifying for the Blue Chip Championships.
His main focus has been on Working Hunter Pony Classes, where he has also enjoyed great success. He won at BSPS Heritage Championships, qualifying for the Royal International in 2018, 2019 and 2020. He has been placed 2nd at the Royal International, 5th at Horse of the Year Show and Won his class at the Royal Windsor in 2019, before being named overall Reserve Champion.
New Moon has twice been selected for the British team in the International Performance classes at both Dublin & Clifden, bringing home prizes on both occasions.
Despite very limited outings in 2021 due to his breeding commitments, Moon competed at 3 legs of the Cotswold Cup, finishing 8th, 2nd and 1st, finishing on his dressage score on every occasion.
Hearnesbrook New Moon scored great marks when presented for grading with with the Sport Pony Studbook Society (SPSS) in 2021 and finished the year as Reserve Champion Stallion across all gradings. He is also Graded Class One with the British Connemara Pony Society, meaning that foals are eligible for papers with either studbook.
